Emerging from the suburban cul-de-sacs of Toledo, Ohio, Sylvania's DARYNYCK is beginning to bob heads
and twitch the legs of friends, strangers and local bar patrons. The group is comprised of 2 multi-
instrumentalists and vocalists: DARYN and NYCK.

A primer on putting together a visual arts portfolio, including artist statement and slides, with Charlie Kanwischer of BGSU.

Speak This!
Speak This! Say That! Free-for-All Poetry Slam/Readings with poets from all over Toledo and the surrounding
metropolis with styles reminiscent of everything from Dickinson to Mos Def. Audience members are encouraged
to sign up and recite their poetry. Poets to include: John Dorsey, internationally published poet.

ALMA Dance
ALMA Dance under the direction of Allison Kodeih will be presenting original modern choreography, created
specifically for ALMA, from the director of the Movement of the Urban Village Dance Company, from Brooklyn,
NY, along with some new traditional afro-Caribbean stuff they've been working on.

Elevator Music - Musicians from the Toledo Symphony
Elevator Music - Musicians from the Toledo Symphony are joined by friends from throughout the region in a
celebration of vibrant and wacky music from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Performers include
violinists Merwin Siu and David Dyer, cellist Robert Clemens, cellist Shelbi Wagner, clarinetists Georg Klaas and
Jocelyn Langworthy, poet/vocalist Christina Sarich, and harpist Christina Muntz.

The Antivillains
The former band Drive!! in its new guise, the Antivillains, playing indie-jazz pop-rock. With smooth and subtle
psych undertones, oft-melancholy melodies, and jammin' pop hooks, the sweet sounds of these implied
musical super heroes are irresistible and nearly impossible not to like. The Antivillains are a local, loveable,
musical must see. They are Sarah Cohen lead vox/acoustic guitar, Benny Cohen alternate lead vox/lead
guitar/rhodes/synth, Sammy W kit/vox and Benny B spicey guitar/vox Matthew bass.

BenFlowz & Friends
Benjamin Rush AKA BenFlowz & Friends perform conscious, underground, elevated hip-hop, funk, soul, and
R&B music. An integral part of the Midwest underground movement, DraMatique & BenFlowz strive for
continued excellence in the field of hip-hop music. As gifted emcess on the underground circuit, they hope to
enlighten and enhance the minds of the masses with original concepts and unsurpassable lyricism. Two very
distinct musical entities in their own right, their creative union further strengthens their positions as pioneers of
the contemporary hip-hop movement. With a smooth, confident delivery, infectious wordplay/lyricism, as well
as production from both ³in-house² DreamScheme Productions (BenFlowz & Rob Cypher) and from across the
country, D & B continue to showcase their talents as aspiring hip-hop artists in the new millennium.

Glass City Hip Hop & Graffiti Explosion
Hosted by Monique Ward, Jerry Gray and Christina Sarich, this explosion of local talent will encompass an
all-out party with rappers, dancers, deejays, emcees, live graffiti art, hip-hoppers, spoken word, and a few
surprises. Graffiti artists to perform are: Jerry Gray, Kerry Krow, Sean Maul, J.C., Stize, Adam Russel, Phil
Kaplan & Mark Lowe.
