Sideways Smile
Sideways Smile is a jazz-influenced acoustic band with former members of DA, Christopher James, The Dog and Jimi. With the addition of Mr. Right, they have rapidly sculpted themselves into one of the area's most interesting live acts. By combining Chris and The Dog's smooth/warm sounds, Right's colorful ambience/dark funk psychodelic, and then throwing in Jimi's wandering lyrics that can range from darkly mysterious to playfully sexy, this quartet is exposing a new sound that is sure to intoxicate listeners everywhere! If you havent caught them at their regular appearances at local art openings and exhibits, this is you chance to sit back and enjoy what the CACkler Times calls "....one of Toledo's musical gems!"
9:15 pm - 10:15 pm
Phantasmagoria
Phantasmagoria was formed as a medium for students (Dom Gray: Drums, Aaron Pickens: Guitars, Dan Hilding: Bass, and Ryan Wagner: Keyboards) attending Toledo School for the Arts to pursue the creation of experimental music. With all members coming from various backgrounds of musical training and interest, the ensemble naturally found a unique sound for the group. Since their formation Phantasmagoria has stormed the Northwest Ohio area with their sometimes chilled, sometimes energetic groove rock with many styles to enhance the eclectic tastes of the songs.
